Owner Debbie Cox was inspired by her work as a professional organizer to open the business, which displays and markets an array of consigned goods. "Through my work in helping my clients clear clutter and organize their offices and homes, I discovered that many people were unaware of how to price and market their items, particularly considering the multiple online avenues available now," said Cox. "We're not only marketing to Reno, but to the world via the Internet, and we ship anywhere," she added.
With the tagline "Selling your treasures on the Internet," Cox said CHAOS to Cash helps people rediscover and recycle possessions they no longer need or want - and make money in the bargain. CHAOS to Cash lists each item in at least two online marketplaces, which could include the largest sites, eBay and Craig's List, as well as more specialized sites for items, depending upon type of product.
Customers appreciate that CHAOS to Cash takes the hassle factor out of selling unwanted belongings. The store's services include photographing and researching the value of each item, cataloguing large numbers of items for estate sales, attractively displaying products for sale at the store and removing the need to meet strangers at one's home through providing a store location. For shoppers, CHAOS to Cash offers an always-evolving treasure trove of items that won't be found anywhere else.
CHAOS to Cash will take most household decor, furniture, artwork, wall hangings, office furnishings, tools and electrical goods, but not clothing or accessories. Items must be valued at $50 or higher. "We're a high-tech consignment store and are geared for displaying goods that have a higher value to maximize the potential of both our store display space and the online markets that we use," said Cox.
Open Thursday through Saturday.
